Apple just posted its iPhone 4 OS preview page.
By the way, the original iPhone and iPad are not included for these updates. Interesting because they have the same RAM/Processor as the iPhone 3G.

Apple presented a lot of interesting stuff today. Probably the biggest were:
Multi-tasking including background operation of GPS, Audio (YAY Pandora), Voice (Yay Skype) and fast app switching
Folders - a better way to organize apps…wallpapers too.
Email: Unified inbox, multiple exchange (or GMail Push w/Exchange), fast switching

iPhone OS 4.0 to have printing?
Printing in iPhone OS 4.0 seems like a reasonable assumption given the wording in Apple's iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) FAQ/KB pages:
Printing is currently not available directly on iPad.
Though, it could easily mean 4.1 or 4.5 or even 5.0 as well. We'll find out...
