iPod classic still alive; 160GB model offered for $249

At today’s special “It’s only rock and roll, but I like it” event Apple kept the iPod classic alive, despite some predictions that today would see its demise. However, Apple tweaked it slightly, revving its capacity from 120GB to 160GB, while cutting its price to US$249.

Apple has announced that the iPod shuffle is now available starting for US$59 in five colors. It’s available worldwide today in a new 2GB model for $59 and a 4GB model for $79; both models come in silver, black, pink, blue and green.
